While I was driving home from the gym this morning, I saw a young man walking down the street in knee socks and a kilt, complete with one of those decorative pouch things that holds down the front--good thing, too, because it was windy. Awesome.
It's a sporran. My grandpa has one made out of a mink with the head making the flap and the clasp attached where the jaw would be. It used to freak me out a lot as a little kid because he told me it would bite me.
It is called a sporran. If you are wearing a dress, without underwear, and need somewhere to keep your car keys..., The sporran is the place. However, I can't see this being a problem in 1603. Question. What was in a sporran back then?
That is awesome. I'm Richards sister, he gave me your blog. I was the one who had the awkward phone conversation with you. Sorry about that. Your an amazing writer, I loved your last post about working in the temple too. Anyway thanks for sharing your feelings.

Haha. That's really cool. Thanks for telling me what it's called!
